Delaware Digital LLP (“Delaware UK”) is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are the historical record of greenhouse gases produced before any emission reduction strategies were introduced. They serve as a reference point to measure reductions. FY2024 is Delaware UK's initial year of formal system implementation for recording and reporting emissions, establishing our baseline and current year data.

This carbon reduction plan relates to Delaware UK operations only. We are committed to, and wholeheartedly support, the principles of sustainability in protecting and preserving the environment. We aim to minimise adverse environmental impacts and enhance the company’s role in environmental stewardship. During the year, we implemented a formal Environmental Management System, certified to ISO:14001 standard, which is reviewed by senior management annually. The principal objective of our Environmental Management System is the promotion of sustainability, and to monitor and improve the environmental impacts of office-based activities, energy efficiency and travel. We encourage employees to use sustainable methods of transport for commuting and business travel to minimise emissions as well as fully support employee remote working.

Delaware UK is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 and carbon neutrality by 2030. This objective will be accomplished through enhanced data collection, establishing a series of carbon reduction targets with supporting strategies, and employing certified carbon credits where emission reduction is not feasible.

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
Through FY24, Delaware UK completed the following initiatives:
- Flexible working practices to reduce commuting
- Cycle2Work scheme for our employees
- Promoting environmental awareness, policies and initiatives throughout our business
- Achieving ISO:14001 certification for Environmental Management System
Current Carbon Reduction Initiatives
Through FY25, Delaware UK will undertake the following initiatives:
- Work with our landlords to encourage 100% renewable energy usage in our office
locations
- Implement new IT system(s) to improve the accuracy of our data collection
- Define a series of carbon reduction targets with supporting initiatives for implementation
through FY26
Offsetting
We are committed to gradually offsetting our operational carbon emissions. In partnership with Ecologi, we source high-quality certified removal and avoidance projects that adhere to globally recognised standards. Currently, we purchase credits for both 'removal' and 'avoidance' projects. However, we will progressively transition to 100% removal projects to achieve our carbon neutral target by 2030.
For FY24, Delaware UK purchased carbon credits which resulted in carbon avoidance of 516.06 mtCO2e and carbon removal of 15 mtCO2e.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans. Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard1 and uses appropriate Government and other published emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting2,3,4.
